The Pizza is excellent enough. The Italian leaves something to be desired. Those little rolls they serve to you beforehand. Avoid. You'll live.

Nice and relaxed atmosphere. We were starving and luckily they immediately plopped down a metal bowl of garlic knots. Turned out that the knots were hot, fresh, and a little sweet, (good) but they had also drenched in oil and doused with heaps of garlic (bad). So, the knots had potential, but didn't make the cut.
We started with a caesar salad which was ok, seemed like regular bottled dressing, not very flavorful. I was also surprised to see 2 tomato slices on the side of the plate, and no mention on their menu about the tomato salmonella scare...hmm interesting
For the main course my friend and I shared the chicken stuffed ravioli which was awesome. Creamy delicious sauce over huge ravioli. I loved the stuffing, very tasty.
Overall decent place, the waitstaff was a little odd though. One guy refilled our waters and bussed the table, another (who apparently was hard of hearing?) took our drink order, and yet another guy took our food order. A little confusing.

Great Food! Great People! Great Prices! This is great Italian food at great Prices. Located in the Bishop Arts District Vitto's is like a needle in a hay stack, tons of people have never heard of this place. Yet it is very popular. Their pizza is awesome, and thier Lasagna, and Chicken Alfredo are bananas crazy good!

This was the definitive Oak Cliff hang-out for me and my friends back during high school and college, even before Bishop Arts became the "hip yuppie" area it is today.  It's relatively cheap and the food is amazingly delicious.  I always get the chicken artichoke pesto.  It's even better if you take it home, let it sit in your fridge for a day, then heat it up and eat it for lunch the next day.  Their pizza is enormous and one of the best you'll find south of downtown.  I only wish that their menu evolved a little with the time and included a better wine selection.

Bellinis are complimentary with purchase of a meal, or you can BYOB with no corkage fee. Toppings on specialty pizzas are plentiful but pricey, and home delivery is usually much speedier than promised. For those dining in, bring your sweetie so that you can both have garlic breath from the doughy knots that start all meals, but  save room for your entree.

While driving to this little Italian restaurant, you may ask yourself "Is this a good choice".  Once you step inside all of your worries will disappear.

The staff is friendly and prompt.  Crunchy crust on the outside of their bread protects the soft center.  Pasta dishes are delicate to the tongue, but hardy and generous.  Some places can only do marinara or cream based sauces, but Vitto has master both.

Pizza *drool*.  Have heart problems?  Would you like to?  They have a pizza that's all meat... I don't remember if this was the actual name of it but we called it the Cardiac Pizza.

The only reason I'm dishing out four instead of 5 stars is because I haven't been here is awhile.... Hope to be returning my next go around in D town.

if anything, this place will never burn down or be robbed.  due in large to the fact that Fire and Policemen are ALWAYS there.  like they are laundering money or something.  it bums me out that i couldn't commit a crime even if i wanted to.  but i guess that's 'peace of mind' to everyone else.  i think their food quality / price ratio is good and their free garlic biscuit attempt is cute [gross].  i recommend eating one slice of specialty pizza and drinking large quantities of Peroni.
