The only problem I have is that we have had 4 different match consultants, so I have never felt like any consultant really known my little and I.
If anyone is interested in the program, feel free to pm me with questions, maybe we can go to an info-meeting/lunch together.
The fries are alright, medium thick, but again doused in seasoning salt.
Overall if I'm in the area and craving a burger I'd go here..having good red onion and sprouts gives it an extra half star! 3.5
It was almost $7 for a burger and fries combo (small) and no drink.

Hattie's Restaurant
Categories: Southern, American (New)
After peeking in at the various overpriced stores, we stopped here for dinner. The restaurant is really pretty and cool Southern elegance as Glenn and others have described.
The waiter brought us bread, I like how they only give you one slice at at time honestly, less wasteful. We started with the bacon wrapped oysters that everyone here has mentioned. They were good, and I really liked the cole slaw underneath, I kinda wish the horseradish they use was a bit stronger, but that's just me.
For our entree we split the shrimp and grits. Perfect sized portion for 2 and we were both STUFFED. The grits were creamy and smooth and the shrimp were a good size and quite tasty. I loooove the tomatoey tobasco sauce mixture, such a great flavor.
I would have loved to try dessert, gotta bring more people next time!
Oh yeah and our waiter Joe was cool too!
We had thai tea, nice creamy and sweet. Spring rolls, wrapper was just right, not too sticky or dried out and I like their peanut sauce, a little kick to it.
I had the chan poo which is a medium size rice noodle with jalapeno and veggies. Very tasty and just the right amount of spicy for me! I also was impressed that the waiter took the time to find out how vegetarian I needed my meal..is fish sauce ok? egg? etc..Very cool. And HELL Yeah I need fish sauce, how can you eat SE Asian food and no fish sauce!?

it's ok, i've been there a few times and usually i notice the smell of the nail shop next door..this time i didn't smell it as much..was it closed? not sure.
anyway, the food is decent, nothing special. blake b. pretty much said it all.
To start, the garlic bread was ok.
I ordered the Vicky's special which is penne with chicken, tomato, mushroom, and spinach. Delish! Great garlicky flavor.
It's near my house, so I'd try it again.
We started with a caesar salad which was ok, seemed like regular bottled dressing, not very flavorful. I was also surprised to see 2 tomato slices on the side of the plate, and no mention on their menu about the tomato salmonella scare...hmm interesting
For the main course my friend and I shared the chicken stuffed ravioli which was awesome. Creamy delicious sauce over huge ravioli. I loved the stuffing, very tasty.
Overall decent place, the waitstaff was a little odd though. One guy refilled our waters and bussed the table, another (who apparently was hard of hearing?) took our drink order, and yet another guy took our food order. A little confusing.
The calamari was not my favorite--calamari steaks cut into strips and fried, it reminded me of elementary school fish sticks, not a good thing. The soft shell crab was good, nice sized and the right amount of crunch. They had it served in a boat with a small amount of memmi (soup stock/dipping sauce) on the side, I wish they would have had a more flavorful dip like ponzu or put some ginger in the memmi. anyway, just being picky.
The "japanese pancake" is actually a "korean pancake" or pajun. It was tasty nice amount of crunchy veg and bits of seafood.
The sashimi was very good and nice thick pieces.
The rolls were ok. My favorite was the sunshine roll, not only is the name awesome, but it was sweet and tasty. It's made up of imitation crab, egg, and cucumber inside-out and rolled in panko. I looove tamago (sweet egg), as simple as it seems, it is my favorite and a staple item. The rainbow roll was fine and I didn't care for the ss something or the other with soft shell crab and mango.
Overall I had a nice meal, I know a few of the girls who work there are they are always sweet. I will probably be back.
We had 13 people for dinner and even though it's a small place, it didn't phase them. They didn't even get annoyed when we all attempted to crowd in the small bar area while we waited.
The food was ok. The...can't remember the name and they don't have a website...anyway, it's from Malaysia and it's spicy beef and rice--on first bite it wasn't as spicy as I'd expected, but the person whose plate I was eating off of said it got spicier toward the end.
I had the laksa which is pretty good. Again, beginning was kinda bland, almost like chicken broth with coloring, later at the bottom of the bowl the flavors came together.
Another girl got something called fragrant chicken, which was pretty much like pho ga but when she asked for hot sauce (expected sriracha) she got the chunky seedy variety.
Anyway, it was ok. Prices weren't too bad.

It was 3 girls and we ordered sweet potato fries, 12 oysters, and 5 lbs of crawfish. Total was $50+ and we all had water.
Like Xuan said, our waitress was cool and didn't even flinch when with sticky hands I handed her my cup for more water haha
We started off with 12 huge oysters--I am a fan of the horseradish + lemon, but here you get limes + peppery sauce. The oysters were awesome, very fresh, and tasty and I enjoyed the peppery sauce.
The sweet potato fries were fine. No seasoning, just plain. Not greasy, perfect balance of crispy and chewy. At first I was sad they didn't have any seasoning salt or anything, but after eating all the crawfish I was happy to have something to kinda cleanse my palate :)
The crawfish were pretty small with 3 BIG ones at the bottom of the bag- I guess 1 for each of us..haha
We had the "whole sha-bang" which is the rajun cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic butter all together and we got it medium spicy. The seasoning was not evenly distributed so sometimes I'd get a really spicy one and then the next one would be straight garlic.
Overall it was ok--I don't have as high expectations as Xuan since I haven't eaten whole crawfish in 10 yrs or more. I did just have oysters in Maryland a couple months ago though, and these were way better here in Texas. (even though they were out of season in both locations)
Oh and yes the music is all rap all the time, so you can feel like you're at the club except you've got garlic stuck under your nails! hahah
